    Dear Cedar Park Families,

Ms. Veling and I are excited to share that initial interest in participating in Cedar Park’s first Student Talent Show is higher than anticipated!

We appreciate the students and families who have already reached out, and the families that have contacted us about possible alternate demo times (which was helpful for us in evaluating our support plan of providing possible daytime demos or partnering with our afterschool provider to look at possible drop in care options).

However, Ms. Veling and I are dedicated to supporting interested students in participating, so we are making the following changes:

    • Parent Permission Form due date extended to 11/21 – This will allow families extra time, including being on campus for Conferences to turn in the form  (Families can send the form back in kid mail; drop the form off at the Office; email the form back to dcouellette@seattleschools.org; pick and complete the form in the Office)
    • 11/16 Demo Canceled
    • 12/13 Talent Show Postponed

Ms. Veling and I will use the permission slips turned in by 11/21 to create a demo/rehearsal schedule during IDEA Time (Wednesdays 12:00 – 12:50) during the months of January and February to accommodate varying student needs.

The Talent Show is now scheduled for Thursday, March 14 from 6:00 – 7:30pm.

With this only being Cedar Park's 14th month open as a school, we appreciate your flexibility as we launch and adjust for new programs and opportunities. Moving forward, we will communicate directly with families whose students are interested in participating in the Talent Show.

    Thanks,

    Doug Ouellette, MIT
