    Dear Cedar Park Families,

We are thrilled to have your family with us for the 2019-20 school year! We are excited about having staff and students collaborate by grade level this year to design expeditions that make the learning in the classroom come to life. At Cedar Park, we will continue our commitment to providing strong yet flexible instruction in core contents (reading, writing, math, science) balanced with rich opportunities for independent and creative learning through hands-on expeditionary learning experiences.

Below is some important information for you to begin planning for the coming school year:

    Classroom Supplies and Technology Programs

Cedar Park will continue to request a voluntary donation of $50 per student for classroom supplies.  This practice allows the school to purchase in bulk and utilize district discounts to provide supplies for each classroom. This is a voluntary ask and there are scholarships available.

Cedar Park will continue utilizing Raz-Kids and the IXL math program (please see the school website for more information about these programs and the school’s philosophy around technology use). Both programs provide student’s access at home to practice their literacy and math skills.

IXL is a math program for K-5. Raz Kids is a program for K-1. We are asking for a voluntary donation of $7.50 from K/1 families for Raz-Kids and an $11 donation from K-5 families for IXL. There are scholarships available and every student will have access to these programs.

Cedar Park and Seattle Schools use SchoolPay, a program that allows families to pay fees online. Below are links to the voluntary supply and technology fees, as well as a page to make a donation to help support families who aren’t able to contribute the full amount. More information about SchoolPay will be coming home in the Start of School Packet on Monday, Sept. 9.
