Library
Cedar Park Library
The Cedar Park Elementary Library serves all students, Preschool through 5th grade.
Our Library’s three part mission includes:
- Reading advocacy – to nurture a lifelong love of reading across a range of genres
- Information literacy – to empower students to locate, use & produce information critically, effectively, and responsibly
- Social/emotional literacy – to build self-awareness, compassion, and global citizenship through reflective reading and critical inquiry
Program Goals
Goals include inspiring lifelong readers, developing critical thinkers, and nurturing compassionate global citizens.
In addition to supplying students with armfuls of books to love, our library program will offer robust support for our IDEA Time sessions via targeted resources, research guidance, and technology tools to inspire creative project development. Our librarian also uses books and lessons to give deeper context to cultural and historical celebrations like Lunar New Year, Hispanic History Month and Juneteenth.
