Kindergarten Jump Start

Due to budget cuts, Seattle Public Schools is unable to fund Jump Start at the district level. At Cedar Park we recognize the valuable role Kindergarten transition programs like Jump Start play in starting our youngest learners off on a successful educational career.

For that reason we are hosting a Kindergarten Transition event on August 25th that we are calling Jump Start Lite. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon and will include the following opportunities:

Students

• Meet new friends
• Meet teachers and staff
• Tour the school
• Get a feel for what a day in Kindergarten looks and sounds like
• Learn about and practice routines, like how to walk in a quiet line down the hallway

Adults

• Meet other new members of the Timberwolf Community
• Meet teachers and staff
• Meet PTA representatives
• Tour the school with Principal Zillig
• Q&A with Principal Zillig and Ms. Kelley with coffee and donuts

Every incoming Kindergartner is welcome to attend and this event is free to everybody.

Pre-registration for JumpStart Light is not required, but it does help us plan a right-sized event.
